Balt County Dept. of Permits and Development Management Visits Seven Courts

At our last meeting, a representative from the Baltimore County Department of Permits and Development Management offered a 15 minutes presentation on Baltimore County Code regarding code inspections and enforcement .  Many of our homeowners have voiced a concern about declining care to properties in some courts, as they will have a negative affect on the future home values for every resident.  The SCCA WILL be contacting Baltimore County to conduct their inspection sometime this summer.  THIS IS NOT AN ANNOUNCED INSPECTION.

A correction notice is issued when the inspector finds a violation.  The property owner is cited and is given a compliance date to correct the violation.  Constituent has the right to contest the correction notice and request an administrative hearing.  Failure to comply with the correction notice will result in a citation for an administrative hearing.  1. Owner is cited.  2. Charge(s) filed.  3. Fines assessed.  4. Hearing date set.  5. Citations are sent by 1st class mail to the address of record from the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation.

TICKETS: Tickets are primarily being used during a Code Enforcement sweep of a neighborhood.  An immediate fine is imposed and a hearing date is set.  Constituents have the right to contest the Ticket by appearing before the hearing officer on the date indicated on the ticket.

Newsletter March 2010

Events

A Prize A Month!

We will be giving away a prize every month for residents who join the e-newsletter list.  We send out 1 e-mail every month, which contains the current newsletter.  This accomplishes several goals.  By e-mailing the newsletter, we can assure prompt delivery regardless of weather conditions.  We are also able to cut the costs of printing by allowing residents to view the newsletter on line in their own e-mail in-box.  We are able to reduce the amount of litter on windy days and still keep you well informed about the events in our community!
To sign up for the e-newsletter by e-mail, please click here and fill in your information including name, address and e-mail address.  Thank you from the bottom of our frozen toes!

There are currently no scheduled events for Seven Courts.  Please refer to the newsletter for the Perry Hall area community calendar.

News that will affect you

For those of you who are wondering when to put your recycling out, we have the schedule right here!  Click on the link and feed in your address and it will give you the current trash pick-up as well as recycling days for your specific court, directly from Baltimore County.

There are new recycling guide lines for Baltimore County that will take effect on February 1st.  All recycling including cans, paper and glass will be put out in the same recycling container.  They will no longer be separated by week.  Please make sure to place all recyclables in a cardboard box or a container no larger than 34 gallons.  Recycling that is put out in plastic bags will no longer be taken.
